    Transport Operations is the engine room of our business. This area plays an integral role in ensuring that Sydney Buses services are safe, clean and convenient.

    As a Business Management Graduate, your primary function will be in service delivery (in Bus Depots), working alongside depot management. You will be based within one of our four Sydney Bus Regions.

    The Business Management placement schedule will provide you with greater insight and exposure to Sydney Buses' operations and will give you the opportunity to expand your management and leadership skills.

    Business Management Placement Schedule

    This program consists of up to three placements to build your skills and experience.

    Before the first placement begins, you will be attending Graduate Induction Week. This induction week will provide you with the opportunity to be introduced to our organisation and its employees, to understand the policies and procedures of the Graduate Program and Sydney Buses, to visit our key operational areas and to develop your personal development plan.

    The Business Management Graduate Program will provide you with opportunities in:

    • Staff Management
    • Service Management
    • Industrial Relations
    • Customer Service
    • Service Planning
    • Project Management
    • Occupational Health and Safety
    • Maintenance
    • Finance
    • Obtaining your MR (Medium Rigid) Bus Licence

    Relevant University Degrees

    You will have recently completed a degree (or expect to complete a degree at the end of 2009) in any of the following, or similar, broad range of disciplines, then the Business Management Graduate Program will be suitable for you:

    Bachelor of Business – Majoring in:

    • Management
    • Human Resource Management/Industrial Relations
    • Commerce
    • Economics
    • Operations Management

    Transport Management

    Bachelor of Commerce – Majoring in:

    • Management
    • Logistics
    • Human Resource Management
    • Industrial relations
